Review on Merkur Long Handled Safety Razor by Ashley Rice

Works well. I'm just very unimpressed with the quality of the finishing. I expected more from high quality German Metal. I can only compare with Van Der Hagen, which I got at Wally World, and with Edwin Jagger. Both had better finishes and worked just as well or better. I didn't like that the handle was hollow and full of shavings. The underside of the head shown in the photo corresponds to the cast surface over the electroplating. I understand that this company sells them so quickly that quality control and finishing are scaled back to increase production. This is the least popular of the three I mentioned and I assumed it would be the best choice. It's not like this.
