This review is specific to the seat covers in the 2017 Ford Explorer. See reference photos with *Candid Candor*PROS & INSTALL NOTES1 in red. You look so good! 2. Easy to install front seat covers. Both took less than 15 minutes to put on and they fit snugly, but not too tight. Some useful hints. FORD COVERS WHERE THE SEAT BACK MEETS THE SEAT BACK! These covers have an elastic band at the bottom corners on the side of the door so you can stretch it to put your hand in that area and properly place the retainers around the seat electrical wiring. Also, there isn't much room to attach the center of the cover when you wrap it around the edge of the seat. Power seats should also avoid a lot of wiring so I looped elastic loops through the underside of the metal clips that came with the seat covers to hold them in place 3-4 times and then what was left over looped the top of the seats. Hook so it doesn't come loose. There is a small square cut out in the center of the front seats that is fairly close to the back of your legs where the hook will fit and snap securely.3. Installing the rear seats took 25 minutes and I had to improvise! The back of the seat covers were installed in less than 3 minutes and are very easy to fit. The seat parts folded easily enough until I pryed off the bottom edge and found my car was not the one shown in the picture and manual. For the backs of the seat I was able to use the included clips by placing them in the center and then sliding forward until they snap into place. Front seat parts for all 3 seats. I also used the clips that came with it, but I had to figure out where the Ford Factory seat pads meet and use velcro on the underside of the rear seats to insert the clips and move them around until they got where they were secure. It took 20 minutes. Then the velcro in the middle which is very difficult to line up but I was finally able to get it right by doing the driver's side first and then the passenger side and it took a few more minutes. I also had to adjust the covers slightly and route them around the seat belt buckles.4. Once they stay in place and don't slip much.5. The rear seat covers still allow me to fold up the 2nd row passenger side for people to climb into the 3rd row. I simply undo the velcro on the passenger side of the center of the seat cover and fold, undo and tilt the entire seat forward as usual. The only part to watch out for is a side clip that you need to keep out of the way when returning the seat to its normal position before replacing it to hold the underside of the seat cover in place. CONS1. I had to get creative and improvise, which was tedious. They could have included more metal clips for more versatility, which would have given me more options to better secure the underside of the rear seats without having to go crazy reinventing or fixing a whole bunch of problems. The embroidery up close isn't solid but still looks nice, and the hearts on the back seats face down, while in the front the hearts face down toward the back of the seat, but toward the back. they are backwards. It's minor and I still think the covers are great. Overall I gave them a solid 4 stars. If anything changes after I posted this review I will update it.
