I bought one of these many years ago. From the catalog, if that gave you any idea how long ago it was. This took so long that the sponge coating on the tip of the applicator eventually wore out, long before the styptic fluid ran out. I couldn't find a replacement anywhere so I started using these chalk pens but I hate them. They're applied carelessly, they always have sharp little shards embedded in them, and they leave a chalky mess everywhere. I searched the internet, saw this product and immediately rejected it, thinking it was a chalk pen based on the packaging. Something made me look again and I'm glad I did. This is what I previously bought and assumed they were discontinued. Some people have written in their reviews that it doesn't work as well as a chalk pen for them, but I've never had this problem. I think it works great. I strongly recommend trying it. If it works for you, you'll never go back to those chalk pens.
