These are nice, durable shoes that will stand up to multiple cycles of handwork. When I opened the box I didn't think we got brown shoes instead of pink - they look more like a tan/cognac color live and are only slightly pink in the right light - but I actually love this color more. Just keep in mind that when you buy pink shoes, it's not the lighter antique pink that it looks like in the picture. I bought this for my 15 month old who has been wearing soft soled moccasins for several months. They are great for those first "real shoes", the sole is very strong but flexible enough to give a good flex in the middle.
