Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Sony Alpha a6000 24.3MP Mirrorless Digital Camera Bundle - Black with 16-50mm Lens, Two 64GB SD Cards, and 8 Additional Items for Enhanced Photography Experience by Joy Vogelzang

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Famous everyday camera; limited lenses available.

This is a very convenient outdoor camera for traveling. Relatively compact with a full lens quite acceptable for everyday FB photography, covering the practical range of f. Having some experience with the pre-programmed menus of various mirrorless cameras, I'm slowly learning how to access the tools I need to enhance my images. This is a controlled camera. I bought the highly recommended 35mm 1.8 lens from Sony and am considering getting a longer f/3.5-5.6 standard zoom. That's as much as I'm willing to invest in this system right now. But the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the relatively limited number of reasonably priced, usable native Sony lenses. I have several useful Canon FF and Crop lenses, most of which fit the Sony 6000, but to use these Canon lenses I would need to shell out a few hundred bucks for a useful lens adapter that would match the final shape, weight and dimensions adds. factor of my gear. Buying this Sony 6000 camera was probably dumb given the restrictive lens issues and options mentioned earlier, but it's a very good camera for the used price I paid for it. For me, this is a groundbreaking cult camera. I'm leaning more and more towards portable mirrorless crop cameras and 4/3 cameras (Olympus, Panasonic, Fuji and now Sony). Much less for my Canon and Nikon DSLR systems and lenses. I keep DSLR lenses in case I can use them with the new Canon and Nikon mirrorless cameras. I think compact mirrorless systems are the way to go for me.
