Time will tell if it will buckle under the weight of my 27" iMac; Most other aluminum coasters have some negative reviews on this. However, I'm not worried as the price is right. on this one, and I can always stuff an inconspicuous clip under the center if I need to (I don't store my keyboard under it. Looks great and is perfect for my workspace. What I didn't realize when ordering is the use of odd gaps on both sides.I actually thought this would be a disadvantage as the gap at the top takes away some flat space to put things in.has a round hole on the back for the power cords and subwoofer cable to run through.Not including the unique side ones Clearances I would have to route these cables from below and then behind the riser which would pinch them between the back edge of the riser and the wall is much more convenient to route the cords and cables up, and then through the slot to various devices. This way I can push the riser straight up against the back wall without pinching anything. And I have external hard drive cables coming off the iMac through a slot on the other side. Very clean, very safe. What I thought was a flaw was a design feature, and a wonderful one at that.
