I ordered your Airpot from Revain a few days ago. I was glad it replaced our 3 year old glass in the thermos. This thermos has served us well for three years thanks to its amazing ability to hold hot coffee vapor for many, many hours and pump smoothly. When he fell off the picnic table and shattered the glass, I was in despair. I immediately ordered your airpot as one of the most expensive models I could find. I wanted something practically indestructible and was willing to pay for it. Unfortunately, my joy and excitement were short-lived. On first use, after only two to three hours, the coffee wasn't hot at all, although I followed the instructions in the email to fill the beast with hot water and steep. But my disappointment didn't end there. The pumping motion to dispense coffee was slow and required a lot of force, unlike our original thermos. In addition, the opening and closing valve was tight and sometimes difficult to handle. It may have once been a superior product, but I suspect someone in the carpet hall decided to make it cheaper to increase profit margins. I could be wrong on that score, but if so, I'm left with the opinion that this was either a rare defective product that escaped the attention of your quality control staff, or it's just a grossly overpriced product that didn't live up to specs is equivalent to . to the hype. What else can I say? This was a completely disappointing product and I want the $42.24 purchase price refunded immediately.
