I needed a large third monitor that could display crisp text but could use wildlife shots as the background. Also, due to the limitations of my dock, I need an SVGA connector with the flexibility of HDMI. And the cost had to be reasonable since it came out of my own pocket. This monitor meets all my needs. The only reason for 4 starts is that the ports come out right off the back at a 90 degree angle. I prefer the ones that connect below and hang straight down. But the choice of connector didn't stop me from buying this display, which has proven to be excellent.
