I love the compact size of this mech and it does the job perfectly. The small case is also very handy for storing the entire fire starter kit. Just a quick note for anyone wondering, the first thing I did when I bought it was lengthen it and coat it with a light coat of mineral oil (food safe!). This helps protect the metal from possible corrosion and also lubricates the expansion and contraction action of the bellows. I was concerned about the amount of dark gray residue I had removed from the surface of the metal. These bellows are likely to be packaged straight off the line and are still lightly contaminated with machining residue/grease. I highly recommend you give this device a thorough cleaning with a degreasing detergent (e.g. Dawn washing up liquid) and then apply a light coat of food safe oil before putting it in your mouth!
