Didn't work as I thought

Attempting to close my crimp cap with this crimping tool was unsuccessful. With the "flat" edge of the instrument, the string broke a little tight. I used a small crimp cap and that's obviously not what this tool is made for. I'm not impressed.

Works OK, but a bit fiddly to get straight and not have the cord/thread/wires slip out of place.
