Review on 🚴 Optimize Your Bike’s Performance with the Universal Bicycle Transmission Line: Shift Derailleur and Brake Cable Kit by Sean Xayamonty

Not very versatile

I ride a British Woodrup bike built in Leeds in the 1980's. These cables didn't work for the old brakes I was using. The drum on the end of the cable was smaller than the drum on my old cable, so it didn't fit the brake lever mechanism. So the job I wanted to do myself had to be finished at the bike shop that used these new cables, but they had to install new brake levers on my handlebars. The work cost more than I expected, including cables and brake levers. So these cables are not "universal". If you have an old bike, even the best like the one I had a few decades ago, you may run into the same problem.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some bugs
