The combination of this extra fine buffing foam with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze gives our car a mirror finish. Very happy with this final polishing pad. After use, we rinse the pad thoroughly. The icing is difficult to wash off the pad because the icing doesn't want to be washed off the pad. This isn't a smack on the pad or the icing, just a comment that the icing is stubbornly washing off the napkin. I let the pad air dry and when it's time to reuse the pad, I wet the pad before applying fresh sealant to it. Pad offers you a long service life. How long it lasts depends on each individual as nobody wants to scratch their finish from not replacing the finish pad. Let me just say that our car is thirteen years old and has never been cleaned in a garage, so I'm a little more forgiving than someone who has a hundred thousand dollar car that just got put on the show floor. This is a great product that does a killer job of providing the final sealant finish to your paintwork. Agree, a lot of effort goes into getting to this last step and I feel perfectly comfortable recommending this product for the final finish.
