Review on Eafengrow EF11 Folding Knife D2 Steel Blade Knife With Wood Handle Pocket Knives by James Turpin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad for the price. time will tell

My first impressions are for the price it’s not a bad little knife. The actual dimensions are: Handle w/o tang 3.5 inches, Handle w/tang 4.25 inches, Open length 5 7/8 inches, Blade edge 2.25 inches and a handle width of 3/4 inches. The weight is substantial, probably close to the 3.5 ounces specified. The pivot is adjustable with the use of a wide bladed flat head screwdriver. The washers appear to be brass. The handle is nice but mine exhibits some minor chipping around one of the front pivot screws. My only knock is that there is some minor play on the blade pivot, not side to side but it appears the hole in the blade is just a little bigger than the actual pivot. Now about the blade. I can't say for sure that its actually D2 tool steel but this sucker arrived shaving sharp popping the smallest of hairs off my arm! I'm guessing that Time will tell how long the blade will maintain its edge but if its D2 steel it should be a while. The Wharncliffe shape of the blade makes it very useful.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and for the price you really can't go wrong. I have pocket knives ranging up to $400 in cost (heck, some folks have some that cost way more) but for now this is my EDC knife.**Update 7/25/2017**OK, so I ordered 2 more of these things. They both arrived razor sharp. I had plans to try to modify one into a gentleman's folder and the attached image shows what these guys can be transformed into with just some simple tools. Glad I made this purchase.

Pros
  • The knife's attractive wooden handle ensures that it will complement any outfit or personal style
Cons
  • The knife may be prone to rust if not properly cared for
