This little hand blender is amazing. If you need to mix sauces, sauces, salad dressings, soups or gravies, this works well. Very light weight which I liked because I was in control. I just tossed in a large batch of sautéed onions, 4 cloves of garlic and 2 large cans of whole tomatoes. Nice pureed sauce, then added the meat back in after mixing. It didn't start too quickly and didn't splatter. Easy to clean. The button has one speed, it's easy to press and reach with one hand. It's a lightweight plastic, not a hard tool, but I like plastic because it doesn't scratch my nonstick pans; The blade is metal surrounded by plastic. If you need to chop nuts or blend ice, this blender isn't for it. But a handy tool in the kitchen with many uses.
