After going through pair of Asics after pair, my pinky came out of the shoe (not a toenail but my real toe) and then got most late pairs deflate the big toe area (keep the toenails as short as possible, there's nothing I can do), I knew it was time to look for shoes that better matched my actual foot shape. Why on earth would anyone make pointy toe sneakers? Do some people actually have legs like that? Maybe they do! But I do not know. I live in a warm climate and wear a lot of flip flops, so my feet are used to being as wide apart as they want. I love these shoes. I've done a few hundred miles of running and walking on them and they show no signs of wear in any of my problem areas on my toes. The underside shows no signs of wear either, while the Asics should be worn by now. My big toe started to hurt a lot and I had no idea it was the shape of the Asic shoes (obviously squeezing them into a pointy shape wasn't good for me) until I switched to Topo and the pain went away . I've already bought a spare pair in case something happens to them. From now on I only buy Topo shoes because my feet love them!
