Review on Wagner Z523 Brake Shoe Rear by Ben Alvarez

I called Federal-Mogul Corporation. I've been told that most brakes (not all) are made in the US with American and/or foreign parts. The product description says "Designed, tested and certified in the USA by Wagner OE engineers." I bought Wagner Z523 brake pads and got 3mm medium pads; and in the center of the block is about 2-2.5 mm. It's completely illogical and crooked. Remember that new brake pads are usually around 4-5mm. Obviously there is no quality control and this product is a waste of time and money. If big companies like Federal Mogul buy products or have factories in China, why can't they do quality control or pay a little more and put out a good, safe product for consumers, even if that means paying a little more for the brakes ? Because a brake failure can cost you your life.
