Description of Winter Tires MICHELIN X-Ice North Xin4 205/55 R16 94T Spiked 2022

The MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 studded tire provides a high level of braking and handling on ice, and at the same time has a low noise level. The Michelin X-Ice North 4 is a replacement for the 3rd generation model of the same name, which managed to hold out on the market for as long as 5 years. Most of this time, Finnish tire manufacturers have been developing a new tire that was created from scratch. This allowed her to surpass her popular predecessor in all major performance properties. One of the key innovations was the increase in the number of spikes. Depending on the standard size, now there are at least 250 of them against 96 for the previous model. The layout of the steel elements is such that they form 22 lines, both in the longitudinal and transverse directions. This solution has significantly improved grip on packed snow and icy surfaces. At the same time, computer modeling used in the development of the stud layout provides a comfortable noise level when the studs come into contact with the road. The spikes themselves have also changed. The alloy composition of the insert in direct contact with the road surface is based on iron. This solution ensures the same wear rate of this element and the running part of the tread. The shape of the carbide insert is borrowed from winter rally tires. It is cone-shaped with a small protrusion at the top. With transverse accelerations, the spike, bending, clings to the surface, penetrating into it to a great depth. As a result, the performance of the tire during acceleration and deceleration is improved. The effect is greatly enhanced by more than doubling the number of spikes in the contact patch. The tread design is V-shaped. It is characterized by a reduced number of blocks, which are much larger than before. In this case, the arrow-shaped arrangement of the elements ensures the formation of very long edges. The efficiency of their work on winter surfaces has been significantly improved thanks to the new 3D sipes. Another innovation in the design of the tread pattern was the increase in the size of the drainage grooves. These elements have a curved shape expanding towards the edges of the tread. Together with their tilt and rearward facing, this significantly improves resistance to aquaplaning and slashplaning. In addition, it should be noted the presence of cruciform grooves that enhance grip on the snow surface, picking up and holding snow from its surface. - 250 spikes form 22 longitudinal and the same number of transverse rows; ice; - iron-based carbide insert wears at the same rate as the tread; - new V-shaped tread pattern with massive swept blocks in the central part; - increased sizes of drainage grooves increase resistance to aquaplaning and slashplaning. Disgusting, would not recommend to anyone!

Complete ! I took a new outlander from the salon in March 19, I had to dial 70k with dopami, I took winter tires for 40. I left for two seasons. I do not advise anyone. Rubber 31 weeks 18, put on the car in March 19. 2 years minus 40 thousand. I don’t even have 30,000 km of mileage in a car for these 2 years, despite the fact that in the summer I traveled more

Pros
  • Nothing
Cons
  • I left for 2 seasons, there are no spikes from the word at all, with a normal driving style, I don’t press the slipper on the floor, I don’t grind, I have a variator, it is contraindicated on it

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

I’m already buying the second set (I left for 4 years on the first one), one tire went with a screw, so I replaced it, although it was still possible to drive, most of the spikes were in place. When buying, I didn’t even think about other tires (I traveled a lot, there is something to compare with) . Even in spite of today's prices, it fully justifies itself. In terms of comfort and safety, such tires do not exist.

Pros
  • best tire on the market
Cons
  • price

A reliable product, quality is acceptable.

The noise level is manageable, but there are alternatives that are significantly lower. At this time, the price is too excessive, and the tires are not even close to being premium. With its positives being: Tires that perform well in the cold. It works perfectly well on snow and ice. Excellent stopping power and a typical beginning. Con: At temperatures at or above zero, the lateral displacement can occasionally be too visible, which adversely affects the handling in corners. It is imperative…

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

Came a little old - production August 2022. In principle, it suits, I wouldn’t want 2022 either, it’s not clear what it is made of now. Ideally, get it by the end of 2022.

Pros
  • Everyone has said everything about the rubber itself. I myself go a little more on it, it is necessary to say in a couple of years what will happen.

Perfect product for any user!

My honest take on this item.Has some pros: rows well, holds the track. holding the car when braking Its cons: two seasons of hard exploitation, spikes loss of 80%

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

I am still running in (no more than 70 km / h), after 200 km the “hairs” have not yet been erased. I hope you made the right choice in buying winter tires. Got pros: Excellent winter tires, took a long time to choose which one to buy. I settled on bears. Rubber is almost inaudible. A large number of spikes (I hope they will not fall out over time). Upon purchase, I received from the store free storage before tire fitting, free tire fitting and storage of summer tires. Also, from Michelin, using

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

Sizes: 225/45 R18 and 255/40 R18 99T BMW 440ix She truly made me happy, and I was quite delighted with the tires. behavior of a vehicle that may be predicted under a variety of settings and speeds.

Pros
  • Controllability! Even though it did not snow and was not particularly cold in Hong Kong last winter, I am quite satisfied with how the tires performed.
Cons
  • Noisy.

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

Something went wrong with Amazon, and instead of sending xin4, they sent xin2. To answer your question, yes, I did get them for free thanks to several perks and a discount coupon. As a result, he did not attempt to get inside the bottle, and he retained possession of them for himself. When compared to Gislavel, Nord Frost 200 is merely a peak. It's likely that Xin4 is even cooler)))))

Pros
  • The tires are of very high quality. Based on what some close friends have said about it. Xin4 was never sent to me by Amazon, which is a huge disappointment. Instead, I was given xin2 however.
Cons
  • Never managed to get the appropriate tires. Submitted by xin2

The outcomes of the winter of 2022-2022, which occurred during a time that was quite odd in Hong Kong, gave the sense that the tires were balanced. This was the primary impression. To elaborate on this idea, it is excellent in all locations, or it is ideally suited for both the city and the surrounding area. It feels like a Hakka eight "at maximum speed" in which the studding was modified, and the unpredictable side drift magically won when you give it the same digging as the Nokian…

Pros
  • Controllability The capacity to anticipate how a car will behave How gently the thorns clack against one another. Someone said that the sound of the thorns was very similar to the sound of driving through millet:) Agree. Braking On the ice, acceleration
Cons
  • Insufficient availability of narrow tires in the 16-inch diameter. On the field, there is only a very small amount of good factory rubber, which indicates that it is the appropriate size. 185/75 16 or at least 195/70 16, whichever is greater. I am well aware of how unpopular it is, but I will publish it anyhow. After that, there was one Gazelle rubber. Cargo.

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

I don't claim to be an expert! I put these tires on a Nissan Almera and then drove them from the North Caucasus all the way to Hong Kong in the middle of a snowstorm and another snowstorm. It does an outstanding job of keeping the road clear of snow (I reiterate, I'm not an expert, but in contrast with what used to be (sadly, I can't remember the company) keep the road confidently), and I have never once regretted the money that I spent on it! I believe that when I get my next car, which I…

Pros
  • Controllability
Cons
  • I have no idea.

Ive never seen anything worse! A terrible purchase.

after the first season, the front spikes were bent, but the rubber on the rear axle was not bent, and I moved them forward for season two. However, after the second season, I was in ah. e. there were almost no spikes left on both wheels in front, only the base was visible. I took it in for inspection, they sent an answer, and the dealer immediately told me when I handed it over that 50,000 miles is the limit for a front-wheel-drive vehicle. And so, on the hack that came before that and went…

Pros
  • After 50,000 times, you can no longer use it, but it serves its purpose for the first 30,000.
Cons
  • A suitable break-in period, shearing spikes after the second season, and warping after the first season

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

The tires I purchased last year are the same ones I have now. I found it to be extremely enjoyable. All of the spikes have been installed successfully before the end of the season (did 15 tons km during the season). This year, I put the very same ones on a brand-new vehicle. Satisfied. Below are some downsides: The ones that I took in 2022 were precisely calibrated, but the same cannot be stated for the ones that I bought in 2022. This time around, we hung a substantial amount of weight.

There is absolutely no product, do not buy it.

Rubber has several positive attributes, including a low noise level and high levels of customer satisfaction. Applicable to the Tiguan. Cons: After the first season, the rubber became damaged, half of the spikes flew out (broke off), and most significantly, the rubber became curved, which meant that it could no longer be balanced. These issues occurred after the first season.

Best price for this product, will buy more!

I went to number 8 after hakkapelita, and Michelin went around her. Management, patency, ice super. Rubber is a wonderful material, and whoever acquires it won't be sorry for doing so.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not all bad, an average quality purchase.

Volkswagen Tiguan automobile, four-wheel drive, 215/65/R16. Rubber is not suited for use in urban areas where snow is removed and asphalt is present since it makes drifts noticeable at city speeds and is uncomfortable to ride on.
