I bought this primarily to power my computer gear, to free up my computer's USB ports, and to keep said devices running even when not plugged into the computer. While it does this perfectly, it renders my SHIELDED theater speakers almost unusable due to the interference they create. For that reason alone I would never buy this product again. However, if you just want to charge your phone and can keep it away from interference-sensitive devices, it's perfect for your needs - it charged my phone about an hour faster than the standard charger that came with it. However, I will notice that the phone got a lot warmer while charging than it ever did when using a standard charger. Phone charger, 4 stars. Other apps, 0 stars due to device interference.
