A year ago I bought a more modern tape recorder (Vextra) which initially worked very well. Then I had to postpone it by several months due to illness. Although the radio worked fine initially, the cassette stopped working immediately after the resume, the cassette mechanism jammed completely. It's still a good radio, albeit an expensive one. This Sony seems much more stable and does well on both counts, 5 stars for me so far.
