I bought this to use as a bag and large grocery bag combo and it works great! My daughter is celiac and we have a hard time finding safe food for her when we travel. This bag saved me from carrying a tote and cooler bag. My Note 9 is too big for the strap case and I think only smaller phones will fit in this case although I haven't tested it on other phones as my husband's phone is the same size as mine. . But on our last day trip to the zoo, I carried my large wallet, meds, and car keys in the top external zippered pocket. I left a lot of "dry flavors" in most of the top. I froze a few small Gatorades and placed them in the larger soil. Seven hours on the road and the Gatorades hadn't even started to thaw, so I took them out of the fridge and just kept them in hydration bags until they'd thawed enough to drink. I'm afraid I don't know how long the cooler will keep the ice frozen, but it's definitely longer than I thought it would. The bag is comfortable to wear, both with two straps and one on the shoulder, but I have scoliosis and that's not easy to say. However, I think a chest strap holding the shoulder straps together would make heavier loads a bit more comfortable.
