Nice but my Otterbox won't replace

I like minimalism in device cases. When I first put the Otterbox skin on I was a bit annoyed that I wrapped it in two layers of a case as it covered part of my screen and was a little awkward to put on at first. So I was curious to try it as it didn't seem like I would have to put any effort in attaching the case and it would be a little less bulky. Glad the Belkin case looks really good. It's more transparent than I thought, but that doesn't bother me. This is a very attractive case that was incredibly easy to put on. It doesn't cover the screen at all, which is both good and bad for me. My Otterbox didn't cover a critical portion of the screen, but that made it feel a bit cramped and made it difficult to remove small smudges - a problem the Belkin's case clearly doesn't have. You don't have to worry about the rubber case blocking your vision or making cleaning difficult. (I'm picky about getting fingerprints on my iPod's screen, so I like to clean it quite often, so that's what I like about the Belkin case.) The only downside to this is that the case feels more decorative than protective. It's fairly thin and, more importantly, very smooth. If you are accident prone like me, or plan to use your iPod when your hands are slippery (cooking, exercising, etc.) you may not want to use this case during those times. However, it's a lot nicer to look at than the other cases and I think that in the end mostly a lot of people get their cases for it. If you're looking for serious protection, this isn't it. If you want something that looks great on your iPod, then this case is for you.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
