Review on 🚲 BONMIXC Ergonomic Bike Grips: Shock Absorption, Non-Slip, Aluminum Alloy Rings Lock On - Mountain Bike Grips Review by Andy Hearshman

Great set of grips but I almost returned them

They look and feel good when installed properly. Much more comfortable than the original narrow grips. While it may seem simple, this pen set should come with instructions. Like some others, I had an issue with tightening the bar ends. I eventually figured out that the ends of the rudder should be flush with the end of the rudder's end. Inside the end of the bar there is a narrow lip that needs to be passed through the end of the bar. When installed correctly, the handlebar ends flush with this rim. I've added a photo showing this. This is what grips the steering wheel when you tighten it. I assumed the steering wheel hit the rim because the end of the steering wheel didn't slide on the steering wheel at first. I had to open both bar end clamps by unscrewing the bolt all the way and then prying it out. To install the kit you will likely need to release the brake and shift levers and move them to the stem. Slide the grip onto the handlebars, making sure the plastic tabs are at least 3-4mm from the end (first photo). Slide the end of the handlebar over the handlebar - you may need to spread the clamp slightly. Position the bar end as desired, making sure the bar end is flush with the rim in the bar tip (second photo) and tighten the bolt. Make sure the handle is snug against the end of the bar, then position the handle as desired and tighten. Move the shift/brake levers outward until they bottom out against the grip, then position and tighten.
