Review on Osmo Case Works Amazon Exclusive by Dre Fishburne

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Expensive iPad case for an already expensive gaming system

TL;DR This works with the new base (as of July 2019) so be sure to check which base you have. This case just adds a thin bezel/edge (1/2 inch) around your iPad that fits into the base of the Osmo and has a cutout that folds back to allow the Osmo Reflector to slide. The bezel also offers additional shock protection around the edges. I'm a big fan of the Osmo Play system (see my other reviews of the awesome starter kit and coding kits). In my opinion this case should come with an iPad base + reflector and starter kits (maybe a bit more but not as big as this case currently). It offers good but not great protection. I feel like the lid will crack if dropped; It hugs the iPad well, but it looks like it's throwing the iPad out at the right angle of incidence. Think of this case as a clamshell case with no front cover. My biggest complaint is that this case is the price, it should be a lot cheaper than it is as it might force parents to trade the iPad protection for less protection + comfort when using the Osmo system. So why the positive rating? Is she working? Yes. I used to take off the iPad case every time the kids wanted to play Osmo, now it's much easier and they can play by themselves. I give 3 stars for the case + 1 star for the convenience of the Osmo. In this case, if you decide to buy it, be sure to check the compatibility on the product page, works with iPad 6th generation for school and some others.
