Osmo Case Works Amazon Exclusive Review

First off, let me say that my review may be clouded by my own ignorance. I originally bought this for my son to use with his new iPad and the Osmo system he has. for Christmas. We've had this case on a 5th gen iPad since October 2019, not only does it fit (perfectly) the iPad, it offers amazing bulk of protection! The case fits the OSMO base perfectly, it is convenient that you can pull down the camera access door and install the OSMO mirror. You're pretty much limited to this case or no case if you want to use OSMO, but for us it's proven surprisingly reliable. This is the second item I've bought and it still doesn't fit. It's not even close. I have confirmed the size and version several times. It still doesn't come close. Don't shove it in the body at all. I had to buy this case so my son with autism could play games without having to take the iPad out of the case. We've taken the iPad out of its case before (it had one) and this resulted in the screen cracking ($300 for a replacement). I was so thankful that Osmo had a case and thought this was the answer to the problem. I was SO WRONG! After buying her case I found out I had to buy a brand new base! Garbage. I am disappointed with the Osmo. This didn't really help. I replaced our original stand with a new one and a new case after two iPads crashed while using the original stand. The new case is complete bullshit. The hinge for attaching the mirror is connected to the body with two thin rubber strips, no thicker than a rubber band. Fall off almost immediately. Tonight our six year old dropped an iPad and the case splintered on the back. It's a miracle the iPad didn't break. I am 100% done…

I can't believe I paid $50 for this flimsy piece of plastic. It does not fit the 6th generation iPad, even though it is advertised. The case is technically on the iPad but doesn't fit well enough to provide protection. The case is too small (to the point that it's almost impossible to fit) which pulls the case away from the edge of the tablet and creates gaps between the case and the iPad. Due to the gaps around the edges of the screen, there's no rubber to protect it. So if your kid drops it…

TL;DR This works with the new base (as of July 2019) so be sure to check which base you have. This case just adds a thin bezel/edge (1/2 inch) around your iPad that fits into the base of the Osmo and has a cutout that folds back to allow the Osmo Reflector to slide.
