We took our 50 pound golddoodle on several hikes with this backpack. It fit her well, fit well and looked great. However, as others have noted, the stitching/quality just isn't that great. It fell apart halfway through our third or fourth hike. The seams just came undone and he barely lasted until the end of the campaign. It's close to a good product so I think it deserves 3 stars but the quality really needs to be improved. Edit: Updated to 4 stars. OneTigris contacted me and sent me an updated version. The quality improves in several ways. Specifically: * Seams seem better * Pockets seem more durable, and there are more of those than the clear ID sleeve. *Mesh padding on the inside that definitely feels more dog-friendly and helps keep the backpack in place. A few things that were in the original have been removed though, which is a bit annoying: * No D-ring on the back. This is a problem when walking on a leash.* No top handle. This is a problem in difficult fights when I need to help my dog or when I need to stop him from chasing a squirrel or something. All in all, this is a pretty decent package. There are better ones, but that's about 85% of the way. Apart from the two mentioned disadvantages, I really like the packaging and will continue to use it for the time being.
