Review on Salomon Athletic Water Shoes Hiking Grape Phantom Men's Shoes by David Garnic

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Most of these reviews are not related to trail runners.

Very comfortable walking shoe if you don't need shoes with ankle support. These are not ideal trail running shoes, that's my preoccupation. Heavy, holds a lot of water (expanding the previous point), the lacing system loosens up after a few miles, allowing your foot to move and the insole and bladder to crumple (unless you keep stopping and tightening). On the plus side, it's very comfortable and offers a lot of protection from rocks. The lower half of the upper is water-repellent to make walking easier when wet. (To Half Mesh, so not too deep in the water)

Pros
  • Go the Distance: Whether you're running the streets near you, escaping on a local trail, or looking for something a little more challenging, Salomon makes shoes to help you ride smoothly over any terrain.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
