I cannot express how much this screen changed my workday. I've had my eye on extra monitors for a while, but as someone who travels almost constantly for work, I didn't want to get used to one when I'm working in my office and then have to settle for not having one same functionality when I'm on the go. Most other portable monitors aren't very convenient for travel, even though they're advertised as portable solutions. The big change for me here is the fact that you only need one HDMI to USB cable - no power cord, packaging, or other peripherals to bring with you. I see a lot of people asking how well this works on a Mac and I can say it works great on my Macbook Air. I downloaded the Displaylink drivers and after a few minutes everything was up and running. Once you've done that, all you have to do is connect an HDMI cable and the screen immediately comes to life - it couldn't be simpler. Some people have commented on the screen's color temperature, and yes, it has a bluish tint. but I don't see that as a problem. However, it's also true that you can't control the brightness when using a Mac, which is a bigger problem. However, if you connect the display to a Windows PC, you can adjust the brightness to your liking, and the monitor will remember those settings for use when you connect it back to your Mac. The included lid, which doubles as a stand, works well, although some other reviewers have struggled with it. All you have to do is lift the small flap and place the bottom edge of the screen behind it to hold it in place.
