Bought these to try in my Coleman portable flashlight (5315, 4D batteries). Mainly because kids love to play with the flashlight and I hate buying D batteries just for the tiny bulb. So I bought these bulbs in the hope that they would draw much less current from the batteries and thus last longer and that as a father I wouldn't have to yell at my kids to turn off the lights when it wasn't absolutely necessary. . So the results. I am measuring a krypton lamp at 750mA and this LED is at 75mA! So yeah, I'm happy with that. And the light grew brighter. The color temperature of the light is a bit more disturbing, ultra white, almost bluish. The krypton bulb is much easier on the eye but this will be brighter and last longer so I think the durability when running on batteries will outweigh the slight annoyance of the light colour.
