This pen may be light compared to being made from steel but it is very hefty compared with aluminum or plastic pens. I like the weight of it in my hand. The machining is so tight that even knowing where it is, I can't see the seam. This looks like one solid piece. The bolt design is also very solid and extends and retracts with a solid click and feel. This would make a very exceptable gift and even more so for an engineer or anyone who appreciates fine detail. A little pricey but y9u could spend a lot more for pens of similar quality.
