First let me tell you how great it is that this item DOES NOT NEED BATTERIES TO WORK! Second, it comes with a ton of plastic golf balls. So if my little one loses a few balls, it doesn't matter. He threw all the crap out of the base and it ain't broken or cracked or cracked yet. I also like that it comes with two different heads ("wood" and "iron"). It won't turn my kid into Tiger Woods, but it's fun. Update: He ended up breaking one of the club heads by hitting it too hard against the wood. And then I flipped the pedal that puts the next golf ball on the tee. It's still usable, but yes. We broke it pretty good
