So I bought a Ducati Multistrada with a smartphone compartment. In order for the bike to do all the high tech stuff like navigation, changing riding modes on the fly, music and other fancy stuff, you need an app running on your phone and connected to the bike. Fancy apps on the phone should work, but the damn tray on warm days overheats the phone and the app freezes, stopping navigation and other app functions. Ducati certainly didn't help much so I decided to buy this mount because I liked how it was designed to protect the phone and the locking mechanism. Easy to attach to the handlebars, the locking mechanism to secure the phone works great, love the hole in the bottom bracket so I can power the iPhone and how easy it is to remove when I don't need to plug my phone on the wheel in. I've been on some rough roads and the mount worked great. I used to have an X mount on another bike and didn't like the rubber webbing which broke after a while and for some reason always worried about losing my expensive phone as the X wouldn't snap into place.
