We have the D5 and it works great! I quickly replaced and cleaned our vac. Works perfectly and easy to replace, pay attention to others if you know, no need to unscrew anything at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner. Literally flip it over and remove that brush cover, working from the back left and right, this one big chunk up and down, then replace the brush with a new one in the reverse order of removing the old one. I would suggest giving the brush compartment a good deep clean with a chlorox wipe if possible and then replacing it with a new brush.
