A little boy (4 years old) loves this game. It can be played in a variety of ways (*with a little creativity not provided for in the manual). I only use capital letters and 3 clap when teaching the little guy letters first to avoid disappointment. He then uses a carpet of letters that he sings with and finds letters that he pulls out. His first guess has to be right or he will return to the box. If I draw a letter, he tries to guess it - if he guesses right, he "steals" it. If he makes a mistake, I keep it to myself. * It's just the beginning for him, but he loves it. If he goes further, I'll add lower case letters and make it more difficult. If your child already has a solid knowledge of the alphabet (upper and lower case), then this is likely to get a bit boring.
