This is a pretty powerful surface charger that works well for all but the first and second gen Surface Pros. If you have a Book Pro surface this will work, but might not charge very quickly due to the difference in performance. Compared to other third-party chargers, this charging box feels pretty close to the original surface charger you might get for ground pros. feel difference. It seems cheaper in quality, but you pay a fraction of the cost of a replacement charger. It's also pretty easy to scratch, just like the original professional charger, which is a bit of a hassle. It feels a little lighter than the original charger. It has the same USB port on the charging box if you want to connect USB devices for charging. It's no problem charging my phone at the same time, but it's not exactly "fast charging". This is just your normal charge rate. This surface charger has the same cable length as the original charger. In terms of heat, this device will get slightly hot or warm while charging, just like using the original charger. That being said, I would still keep the charger outside so it doesn't fry from the excessive heat. What makes this charger unique is that it has an attachment that makes it look more like a surface charger. This helps reduce cord length when you need it, which is pretty cool. As a result, this charging box takes up a little more space at the socket, which is a disadvantage. It has the same indicator light showing it's plugged in and charging the tablet. At least I can tell if the device is working without having to turn on my Surface. It can charge a laptop with a Surface in under four to five hours, depending on whether you're using the device while it's charging. When it's off, you can probably charge it fully in less than three hours, depending on what device you're trying to charge. Again, the material this charger is made of looks a bit cheaper compared to the original charger. It seems a little rougher than the OEM charger, but the shape is the same as the OEM. All in all, this is a great replacement or replacement charger that actually works the same as the original charger. It has almost the same features as the original charger and does the same job at a lower price. The nice thing is that you can swap out the plug for a shorter cable if needed. I'm surprised it doesn't have a carrying case like some other chargers. There are no zip ties either, so it's a bit difficult to organize the cable in the bag.
