Depends on where you intend to use it

These fans do their job well. However, it all depends on where you intend to use it. If you want to use this for small PC, HTPC or multimedia PC, standing around your TV or next to you, it will be very noisy if you run it on 12V. In this case it is better to use them with 5V or with 7V with a voltage regulator. Fear.
