I ordered 36 which fits 31-34" waist size. The fit is perfect. I wear size 32" pants and this belt fits perfectly. I'm 5ft 7in, 165lbs, lean and muscular. I'm not sure if this will help you as body shape varies greatly and affects fit. The only minor downside is that I was expecting the hardware to look a bit brighter. The photo showed it was stainless steel (slightly shinier) but it's more of a gun metal.
