This thermometer is a nice, easy to read meat thermometer. No on/off function; You simply extend the pin and it turns on. A nice feature is that temperature recommendations are printed right on the thermometer next to the reading, so you don't have to guess or find the right temperature for each type of meat. For those who want to hang the thermometer, they have it very easy with a hole at the end to hang it on a hook or use the tycoon on the back to hang it on the side of the fridge or other metal nearby to fix. I wouldn't put it in the oven as you don't have to keep anything with batteries on the heat source when not in use. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy to use/read meat thermometer without spending a fortune.
