I have purchased several pairs of HD boots from Amazon. Every time I read the reviews first to see if I should order my standard size or a size up or down, it hasn't disappointed me so far. As other reviewers have mentioned, your normal size should fit just fine. if I order 9 instead of 8.5 I would have to exchange them. I could wear thick socks with them and I'm still fine. I appreciate these boots very much. They are simple, easy to use and very comfortable. I haven't tested "waterproof" yet, but I've found that all of my HD boots are waterproof to some degree.
