I chose this product because I can use this belt with ALL my hiking shorts and pants that have belt loops. Depending on the fabric of the clothes and whether I tuck my shirt in or not, the position of the belt will change. With conventional belts that have a standard number of holes, I'm limited by the holes available. With this belt I can position the belt however I want, and maybe after a nice meal, the soft stretch of the belt's fabric gives me great comfort while keeping my pants in place. The stretchy material is durable and won't stretch. constantly stretching like some of the less expensive products I've bought in the past. The color is neutral to all shades of my wardrobe.
