We reside in a northern state with cloudy/dark winters, so it's hard to get the sunlight recommended, which in turn affects my mood. Therefore, I have found that light therapy lamps, such as this one, can be really effective at boosting moods and morale. This light is extremely bright at full setting. The screen size is about the size of a regular iPad, which I think partially contributes to the brightness (the bigger the light, the higher the capacity for brightness). The unit is very easy to use – there is an on/off button, and a separate button to increase/decrease brightness (3 lighting modes of brightness). There is also a timer button on the side (3 timer settings). A nice feature is that the bracket stand is attached to the unit (not a stand-alone bracket like some other models). This is a basic unit that provides good lighting, and so far, it has helped boost my mood and provide the therapy described. I would recommend overall.
