In general, a regular monitor. However, the images are too light for Photoshop and do not match the print. I tried to tweak the settings but to no avail. Maybe an LCD monitor calibrator would help. It has a lot of light around the edges with a dark screen, but as far as I can tell it doesn't spoil the picture. This monitor is connected to my Dell 19" as two monitors, which is much more accurate and compares well with printing. In fact, in my case, a monitor with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 is ineffective, while printing on photo paper is typically 100 :1 The glossy screen isn't a problem for lighting my room I currently use both DVI and analog inputs on two computers Simply pressing the menu button (twice) toggles the input Edit: Nov 2012 Still works. My Dell 19 died and was replaced by another HP, 24". Edit: July 2014 Still working.
