Didn't work - Notebook Accessories

Like other browsers It just didn't work "right" if you have a docking station like hengeDock or something where you just plug in your laptop and everything is connected through it. This docking station will NOT work when connected through such a station. .The supplied cable is too short for my purposes. No other Thunderbolt 3 cables I've tried have worked with this device, not even the rather expensive new ones with the highest standard. So plan to only ever use the short cable that comes with it.- The display port was very unreliable. I had to plug and unplug it multiple times for my 4k monitor to finally register. Even then, sometimes he never connected. In the end I just had to give up this dock and connect my monitor directly to my laptop via the adapter. your advice? Connect the monitor to one of the USB ports using the adapter. Mm thanks, so I have a completely unused display port on this device and they recommend using one of the TWO USB ports instead. - I have an external webcam every time. I plugged in my laptop, the webcam has a new name and everything using it had to be updated to point to it. IE Google Meet, I had to reselect my webcam every time. She didn't charge my laptop. Yes, I plugged it into the correct port (not the monitor port), used the cable that came with it, and it still wouldn't charge my laptop. I also had to plug in my regular charger or my laptop would run out of power while in use. Looks like the ethernet port was different. If all your ports were occupied by devices, ethernet would shut down as if there were no forces left to support it. So I could only use WiFi or not connect everything to it. All in all I had to send it back given the price. Again, I'm just using my old super cheap mini hub, which has none of the above issues.

Pros
  • 3 USB 3.0 ports: Powerful device support for iPad, SuperDrive and more
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
