quick drop: Kitchen & Dining

At the risk of sounding like one of those "coffee snobs" here. I've been trying to brew the perfect cup of coffee for 10 years. Now that we've found our approach to coffee, which will remain nameless, it's necessary to always stick to the basics of coffee making. Freshly ground beans, obviously a good medium grind, not too fine and not too coarse, correct water temperature. etc. My only complaint about this is the filter. Tiny, almost microscopic holes shouldn't drain quickly, but they do. I was hoping for a longer flowering period, but not that much. I also object to using a paper filter to brew a cup of coffee longer because one of the main reasons for objecting to a large plastic coffee maker is to avoid contact with paper filters, contact with the plastic they contain, and never properly clean too can the coffee maker. So all of this is to say that coffee from this system tastes absolutely amazing, so I must be doing something right. I only use a large plastic coffee maker when I need a huge coffee pot for the whole family. All in all a great coffee machine despite the filter.
