First off, the setup and recording process was very easy. On paper, an audio capture recorder is a great concept; I love the idea of recording audio digitally without using a computer. I like the remote control and the ability to save the converted audio to the SD card as an mp3. However, after many attempts, I was not able to get a clean recording without hum and noise. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is too low. I tried recording at normal volume and gradually increasing the volume to see if that would fix the poor sound quality, but nothing worked satisfactorily. Maybe a better A/D converter would improve its performance, but I don't think it's ready for prime-time use.
