Full of anger and fear, a man meets a girl, but their romance seems rushed

Drunk Love is a romantic black comedy starring Adam Sandler as Barry and Emily Watson as Lena. Barry is a loner, afraid of the world and under constant pressure from his 7 sisters. Everything is going wrong in his life until he meets Lena, who might be able to free him from his shell. The opening scene is a great symbol of Barry's mental and physical condition. He's in his office, which is in a large warehouse that looks completely empty except for the table he's standing at in the far corner. Then he goes outside and sees a car crash. The office symbolizes feeling completely alone in life, while a car accident increases his fear of the outside world. He would rather sit in his empty room than be outside where the unknown and unexpected could happen. Of course, that means he'll be challenged when he meets Lena. There are some funny and cute moments in the film. In some scenes you can feel Barry's fear and anger. In the end, it just didn't seem entirely satisfying. You can tell what will happen between him and Lena, but it seems that he was in such a hurry.
