As others have pointed out, they work best when the original rubber is still slightly or almost intact on the stick. With the elastic gone (like mine) this mount will come loose when installed on the left thumb pad (which is where I use it). So for my purposes - satisfactory. My son wanted his pad to have more debris on the original rubber - it's securely attached to his controller.
