These days, a cheap tablet should have a quad-core chip that clocks at least 1.5 GHz, like this one. I like at least 2GB of RAM. At least I'm used to this reaction. Check. WiFi 802.11g/n. Yes. This is also backward compatible with 802.11 b. At least 16 GB ROM, expandable with an SD card. It's 32GB so I might not need the expansion. At least Android 10 so I don't have to update the operating system right away. It's clear. The only place it doesn't fit is in the 1024 x 600 screen resolution. That's true for kids, of course, but 1920x1080 would be noticeably sharper. Overall, decent value for money.
