CONTAINS CHICKENS. HOW MUCH CHICKEN. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

My dog is allergic to chicken and beef. He has also recently developed heart problems due to my ignorance (NOT GOOD!) of the grain free diet that my dog has followed for most of his life. I was given a list of low sodium foods published by Tufts Veterinary School. It's one of the foods that made that list - and in terms of food quality, sodium content, etc. - I'm sure it's great. In fact, my dog really likes it. You may also have noticed that Hill's makes different variations of Sensitive Stomach and Skin dog food: one with chicken and veggies, another with turkey and rice, and this one with salmon and veggies. Well, with FOOD DESIGNED FOR DOG FOOD SENSITIVITIES, you might think that since there are three DIFFERENT protein sources in the flavors, only those protein sources should be included in the appropriate food. This means that for chicken feed, chicken is the protein source, for turkey feed, turkey is the protein source, and for salmon feed, salmon is the protein source. After all, the #1 food allergy for dogs is chicken, so if anyone has tried not to give their dog chicken, they may have settled on the one that says salmon. HOW I DID IT. After checking the ingredients of each dog food on Tuft's list of low-sodium foods, I came to the conclusion that only two of them didn't contain chicken or beef (because, again, my dog has severe allergic reactions to both products, completely). with horrible ear infections, yeast infestation in his paws, red itchy skin, all of which makes him unhappy. My mistake was believing that a well known and respected brand like Hill's wouldn't put chicken in SALMON DOG FOOD MADE SPECIAL FOR FOOD SENSITIVITY What's the first ingredient in a salmon and vegetable appetizer for a sensitive stomach and skin?CHICKEN BROTH.THEN salmon, carrots, turkey, potatoes, green beans, potato starch, pea protein if hypersensitive), SUGAR (seriously), egg whites , chicken fat, whey powder, beet pulp, soybean oil, chicken liver flavor, carrageenan, then salt and a bunch of stuff that ends up in waste, veil or ides. Dogs aren't allergic to food either. And you know what? There are enough grain free products on the market (I know it and probably you do too). With the sudden boom in grain-free dog food, dogs are becoming increasingly prone to heart problems - to the point where owners of affected dogs are looking for products that do NOT say "grain-free". This one doesn't say grain free......but it is. My dog's cardiologist specifically told me to start feeding my dog foods that contain grains. It's not easy to find a low-sodium dog food that CONTAINS NO CHICKEN, BEEF, PEA, or EXOTIC ANIMAL PROTEIN - AND IT'S REALLY HEALTHY for your dog! It's shocking enough that Purina Pro Plan dog foods called "Sensitive Skin and Stomach with Salmon and Rice Dish" (literally in one word) CONTAIN NO CHICKEN OR BEEF, and it contains grains and is low in sodium. So it's possible! Unfortunately, my dog hates it, so I'm still looking for something suitable.
