I've spent HOURS researching to find the right safety razor. It was easy to support Merkur with their incredible track record and wide range of razors. Please note that NOT ALL SAFETY RAZORS ARE CREATED EQUAL. Don't fall for those $10 eco-friendly razors that don't detail the handle, blade protrusion, handle length, and parts. I've learned to stay away from butterfly razors, which seem to open more easily but tend to accidentally pop open while shaving. Yes, women can definitely use it! I've tried shaving everywhere and had no problems. Ideal for legs, bikini area and armpits! Just go slow! I love the travel-friendly case - it's VERY small and easily fits in your toiletry bag. Assembly is very easy - three simple parts. And I can confirm this is an EXCELLENT safety razor with good cut and cut protection. My only complaint as a beginner is that the handle is really quite short. I think I'd rather try the Merkur 23C which has a long thin handle. So keep that in mind. Please note this is not included in the official Mercurial boxes or anything - just a case with a leather case and a three piece razor inside.
