I like this idea and it was very helpful on the trip. I bought it along with the Col Travel Kit. Conk and the shave was good. Portability is very good and when packed it is very small, about the size of a matchbox. The standard two blade razor is not a huge and heavy thing and I have a travel case for mine but this travel razor now replaces it for all domestic trips. It disassembles and is stored in a tiny soft plastic case that takes up almost no space and weighs very little. Assembling and using is easy and fun. I travel to our Chicago office at least once a month. I was tired of going back to cartridge razors so I took a chance and got this Merkur. The razor shaves very well, especially as it is so light. It's really small and perfect for travel, especially for flying. Just a smooth and comfortable razor. At home you can use a heavier pen if you have one. Do not overtighten as this is Zamak (Pot Metal as it is called which is an alloy). Zamak is notorious for cracking.
